Sesudah dilanda bencana banjir, longsor di wilayah Kabupaten Bogor kini masyarakat Bogor diberatkan lagi oleh adanya kenaikan harga gas LPG, tentu hal ini sangat berdampak negatif ke masyarakat Bogor yang sedang mengalami bencana alam yang tak kunjung habis, ditambah bencana dari ulah manusia yang tidak humanis, ibaratnya masyarakat Bogor sudah jatuh tertimpa tangga.
Menurut PT Pertamina selaku pembuat gas LPG, tidak ada perubahan pada harga yang sudah di tetapkan terkait gas LPG, berarti kenaikan harga gas LPG di Kabupaten Bogor adalah kewenangan pemerintah daerah, karena kebijakan menaikan Harga Eceran Tertinggi (HET) ada di pemerintah daerah jika dilihat dari Peraturan Menteri ESDM, Nomor 26 Tahun 2009 tentang Penyediaan dan Penyesuaian LPG. Jadi Kalau HET itu kewenangan Pemda, ada di Permen ESDM Nomor 26/2009.
Dalam hal ini PLT Bupati tidak transparansi terkait kenaikan harga gas LPG tersebut, mulai dari kenaikan yang secara tiba-tiba yang terkesan sepihak tanpa mempedulikan masyarakat, sudah jelas kenaikan harga LPG bukan karena naik nya harga di PT Pertamina akan tetapi kebijakan sepihak dari pemerintah daerah dalam hal ini adalah PLT Bupati Bogor. Menurut Max Weber kekuasaan diartikan untuk menguasai dan tertunduk pada apa yang dikatakan oleh penguasa. Dalam hal ini PLT Bupati melakukan kekuasaan seperti apa yang dikatakan Weber, karena kebijakan tersebut sepihak dan harus dipatuhi oleh masyarakat, akan tetapi tidak semua masyarakat akan menerima akan kebijakan tersebut.
