Ruang publik di Indonesia merupakan ruang umum atau ruang untuk siapa saja khususnya masyarakat Indonesia yang terdiri atas berbagai suku bangsa.
Keresahan terhadap ruang publik yang terjadi di tempat ini terjadi kepada para seniman Indonesia menghasilkan karya-karya yang untuk dinikmati masyarakat Indonesia dari Sabang sampai Merauke, yaitu TIM.
Taman Ismail Marzuki yg terletak di wilayah pemerintahan provinsi DKI Jakarta dan dapat dikakses oleh siapa saja dan dari mana saja apalagi para seniman.
Para seniman ini resah dengan perubahan yg terjadi di kompleks TIM, dari perubahan tata letak bangunan yang dinilai sudah tidak humanis lagi, dan juga ketatnya retribusi biaya parkir kendaraan baik itu roda 2 dan roda 4 yg menurut mereka sangat memberatkan.
Dalam diskusi dadakan yang sekilas terdengar oleh penulis saat itu,“gila nih aturan parkir itungan perjam, gimana mau bikin karya klo buat nongkrong di mari sudah ribet mikir buat biaya parkir kendaraan kita saat nongkrong di TIM.”
